SPIRITUALITY AND ADDICTIONS
A 2 1/2 day workshop to develop
a closer connection to your true nature and a more balanced
relationship with others.

|
“It is temporary pleasure obtained
from the contact of your senses with objects or people in the
world. The fountain of lasting bliss flows from Atma, the True
Self within.”
When you feel uncomfortable inside, do you
find yourself seeking comfort outside yourself? Do you turn to alcohol,
drugs, smoking, sex, food, gambling, work, shopping, caretaking,
or sugar? Although chemicals and behaviors may provide temporary
relief, they are only illusions of relief. By not knowing how to
find lasting comfort from within, you may reach for temporary external
solutions that lead to dependency.
In this workshop people with addictions or dependencies come together
to explore ways to find balance in their lives from within themselves.
You will examine your family-of-origin to uncover what you learned
to believe about yourself, and how you project those beliefs onto
other people and the world around you. You will discover what you
think and feel, how you mask your feelings, and learn ways to express
your feelings clearly, directly, and lovingly. You will learn how
to love yourself, receive love from within, and find balance.
In addition to psychodrama and experiential techniques this workshop
includes daily meditation, and one sweat lodge ceremony.
